Synopsis
The Bikes of New York
Adapted from his book of the same name by Internet bestseller C. B. Brown. Luc Drapeau is an immigrant and father fighting for his family in the midst of a global energy crisis. Like millions of the poor he makes a living riding stationary bicycles to generate electricity for the rich, working for coins with their sweat. They dare not let the pace slacken. To lose momentum is to let joules fall down the well, and to go home hungry. But in New York the bikes are controlled by vicious cartels, and Luc finds himself the figurehead of a movement to stop the violence once and for all. His rise from the bottom is a lesson in power, politics, money and loyalty.
